Job description


Driver Network Services (DNS) - a national provider of screened and certified drivers to automotive dealers and leading car companies such as Lincoln, BMW, Audi and Genesis. DNS provides high quality drivers to clients that are focused on a new level of customer experience and innovation.


We take customer service very seriously and have a growing team of hard-working, passionate and energetic people that assist our clients. We are looking for experienced tech savvy drivers that are detail oriented and who know the basic maintenance of a vehicle. The ideal driver will have the following requirements and responsibilities:


Requirements:

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Must live in Dearborn, MI
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A technical background working with electronics, mechanical components, or computers a plus
  • Must have a valid drivers license in the state of residence that you will be driving/operating a vehicle
  • Must have at least five years of (licensed) driving experience (consistent history of safe and responsible driving)
  • Semi-retired workers strongly encouraged to apply
  • Looking for drivers - Independent Contractor position (1099) for supplemental income
  • Enjoy driving

Responsibilities:

  • You will be required to troubleshoot or perform minor repairs on logging systems and vehicles while travelling
  • Be willing and able to travel within the contiguous United States two - three weeks at a time. Multiple assignments throughout a six month period, but there will not be part-time work on a consistent basis
  • Driver must be on the road during the entire period with hourly pay and a per diem for food and hotel
  • Check the safety condition of vehicles daily
  • Clean interior and exterior of vehicles at regular intervals or as needed
  • Provide accurate written and oral feedback to engineering teams
  • Perform routine care of the vehicle (oil changes, 12 V battery changes, etc)

Pay - $20/hr. Part-Time Position
