JobSummary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This pivotal role will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our organization's network infrastructure. The IT Network Engineer will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of our network operations. This position requires a deep understanding of networking principles, hands-on experience with complex network environments, and strong problem-solving capabilities.

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

This position's internal job is Network Designer. Our team is currently hiring forlevels 3-4.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and implement robust, scalable, and secure network architectures, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud networking solutions

  • Manage network security, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control

  • Lead the deployment of network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers

  • Ensure network resilience and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.A final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters +3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.)

  • Minimum 1 year experience with multi-vendor switching and routing (e.g., Juniper, Cisco, Dell)

  • Active IAT Level 2 certifications per DoD Instruction 8570 (8140)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 4: Bachelor's Degree and 9 or more years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters +7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)

  • Experience with Quality of Service (QOS), routing and switching protocols

  • Experience deploying and maintaining VPN technologies (e.g., IPsec, SSL VPN, Azure ExpressRoute)

  • Experience with Palo Alto next generation firewall systems

  • Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible)

  • Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark)

  • Experience with cloud networking environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)

  • Knowledge of wireless networking standards and technologies

  • Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or higher

  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) or higher

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher

Summary pay range:

  • Level 3: $102,850 - $151,250

  • Level 4: $128,350 - $188,750
