Job description

Advantest is a global leader in automatic test equipment for the semiconductor industry. Our V93000 platform is used to test the majority of the world's most advanced semiconductor devices. In SW R&D, we build its software in globally distributed agile teams operating within a large-scale SAFe Solution Train. Within it, the Engineering Platform Agile Release Train (ART) builds a scalable and efficient platform foundation for engineering capabilities such as test program development and device debugging.
As Release Train Engineer you act as servant leader of the ART alongside the Product Manager and System Architect. Together with the Scrum Masters you lead the ART's day-to-day operations while also being part of the team of Release Train Engineers supporting consistency and efficiency across the entire Solution Train.
Your Responsibilities

  • Drive operation of the Engineering Platform ART with a sustainable cadence to consistently meet PI Objectives
  • Identify, track, and resolve cross-team and cross-ART dependencies, risks, and impediments before they impact delivery
  • Ensure effective collaboration between product management, architects, development teams and stakeholders
  • Establish and facilitate all ART events (e.g. PI Planning) and activities required
  • Drive ART-level Inspect & Adapt outcomes and continuously evolve ways of working within the ART
  • Promote agile practices, built-in quality, and sustainable delivery with a focus on flow and transparency
  • Define, track, and use metrics (e.g. predictability, quality, flow) to support management reporting, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues
  • May serve as Scrum Master for selected teams within the ART
  • Participate in the operation of the overall Solution Train as a member of the team of Release Train Engineers
