Construction Operations Manager

Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA | Onsite


SummaryThe Construction Operations Manager is responsible for managing field operations, supervising crews, and ensuring the successful execution of assigned construction projects. This role serves as an onsite point of contact for customers, supervisors, and internal teams while driving productivity, safety, quality, schedule adherence, and profitability across multiple job sites. The Operations Manager maintains a working knowledge of NFPA codes and standards that govern the projects they are assigned to ensure compliance and proper execution.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and manage 5–25 field employees across multiple commercial job sites
  • Oversee projects ranging from $5,000 to $1.5 million
  • Mobilize and demobilize jobs efficiently and safely
  • Plan, monitor, and adjust project schedules, manpower, and productivity
  • Set direction and daily expectations for installers and technicians
  • Communicate project status, forecasts, and risks to the Project Manager

What We’re Looking For
  • 6+ years of experience leading crews on commercial construction job sites
  • Experience managing up to 25 field employees across multiple projects
  • Background in trades such as drywall, plumbing, insulation, masonry, waterproofing, joint sealant, or firestopping
  • Proven experience on large‑scale projects (healthcare, high‑rise, data centers, education, hospitality, retail)
  • Working knowledge of NFPA codes and standards applicable to assigned projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team‑building skills
  • Ability to drive productivity, schedules, and budgets simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new internal software systems

Physical Requirements

  • Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work in active construction environments

Additional Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must pass drug screen, background check, and driver’s license check
  • OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain within first 30 days)
  • Must be able to work within a 50‑mile radius of the shop location
