Job description

Job Summary

The Sales Representative is the hub of the D&D Trailer Division operations. The division does not exist without sales and, therefore, it is the goal of this position to create satisfied trailer customers by selling the right vehicle at the right price, profitably, courteously and efficiently.

Duties &Responsibilities:

Presale Prep & Processing

· Receive prospect calls and prospect visits per company established lead allocation systems. Cordially greet prospects and identify purchase parameters in terms of budget, vehicle type, application, and other parameters.

· Identify vehicle options per company policy and show customer sample models available on company lot.

· Expand discussions to identify needs, wants, obstacles to purchase and other issues. Should the customer be ready to proceed at this time, move to the Sale & Post Sale Processing Activity below.

· Should the customer not be ready to proceed at this time, capture full customer contact information and set customer up on follow up calendar.

· Conduct routine follow up sales contacts with all prospects on the follow up list. Per schedules established, make prospect calls, send electronic and mail communications and otherwise continue ongoing sales activity.

· Maintain records of call and follow up activity per company policy and rate customer prospects accordingly.

· Work with the Sales Manager to routine evaluate prospect lists and develop tactics to close deals.

· Attend sales meetings, conferences, trade shows and other prospecting events as directed by the Sales Manager. Add any resulting leads to the contact list and pursue as above.

· Routinely review sales performance reports with the Sales Manager and develop performance enhancement strategies as dictated.

· Attend sales and product training programs as required per company policy. Remain familiar with all trailer product lines, features and benefits.

Sales & Post Sales Processing

· Work with the customer to complete all sales paperwork required. Fully evaluate and understand customer needs and wants. Present all applicable extras, options, additional equipment and other items available.

· Present options of service contracts and non-product options as necessary

· Complete all needed paperwork, obtain driver’s license, insurance, title and other information as required and refer customer to F&I Manager.

· Remain available to attend to customer after the F&I process is completed.

· Process sales completion paperwork as need and schedule delivery of vehicle

· Work with the Service Manager to assure that the vehicle is prepared for delivery per the schedule.

· Coordinate delivery schedule with Service and the customer. Walk through the vehicle with service prior to delivery to assure all is in order and with the customer at delivery to present all features and general operating information.

· Follow up with the customer via phone within 24 hours and within one month to assure a high level of customer satisfaction

· Monitor the independent post-service customer satisfaction surveys regarding warranty work. Work with the service team to address any issues that arise

Qualifications

1. At least two (2) years prior direct experience in big ticket sales, preferably in the farm/livestock trailer or RV industry.

2. A high school diploma or equivalent

3. Successful completion of company sponsored training programs

4. Excellent organizational and communication skills.

5. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

6. An up to date and valid driver’s license to operate the types of vehicle the company currently owns

7. Demonstrated hands-on computer and accounting software operations skills with company information systems, MS Word and Excel, email and related systems.

8. Willingness to “roll up his sleeves” and do what is necessary to get the job done.
