Join Our Team as a Park Ranger / Hayride Operator!

Do you enjoy working outdoors, interacting with guests, and helping create memorable experiences? Dundee Township Park District is seeking friendly, dependable Park Ranger / Hayride Operators to support park rentals and guest services at Randall Oaks Park. If you take pride in customer service, enjoy hands-on work, and like being part of fun seasonal events, this could be the perfect fit!


What You'll Do

As a Park Ranger / Hayride Operator, you'll:

Set up, maintain, and clean three park shelters and six picnic sites, including trash removal, leaf blowing, and general restroom maintenance.
Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to park rental guests throughout their scheduled events.
Safely load and unload passengers on the hay wagon.
Transport visitors on a hay wagon ride along a designated route through the park.
Start, monitor, and maintain bonfires during rentals.
Follow all safety and loss-prevention policies and procedures.
Identify and report unsafe conditions or hazardous work procedures to supervisors and correct issues when possible.
Complete additional duties within Randall Oaks Park as directed by management.
Assist other Park District employees when needed.


Who You Are

You're a reliable and customer-focused team member with:

At least 18 years of age.
A valid driver's license.
A high school diploma (preferred).
Prior experience driving a tractor with a trailer or operating mid-sized equipment (preferred).
Strong customer service, verbal communication, and listening skills.
The ability to follow safety procedures and work independently when needed.
Good physical condition, including the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.


Schedule

Seasonal, part-time position, generally less than 20 hours per week.
Hours vary based on business needs and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A set schedule may be available.
