About the role
Fleet Equipment, an industry leader in trailer and equipment leasing and sales, is looking for a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trailer maintenance, particularly with tractor-trailers and related equipment. This role requires the ability to diagnose issues, align components, and fabricate parts as needed. The Trailer Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet.
What you'll do
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractor-trailers and other industrial equipment.
  • Repair trailers to manufacturer specifications.
  • Fabricate parts as needed to ensure optimal performance of trailers.
  • Assemble various components of trailers, ensuring proper fit and functionality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, specifically with tractor-trailers or similar industrial equipment.
  • Strong understanding of schematics and mechanical systems related to trailers.
  • Ability to align components accurately according to specifications.
  • Experience with fabrication techniques is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
