Technician/Maintenance Machine Lubrication Maintenance Technician The Machine Lubrication Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the reliability and performance of manufacturing equipment through proper lubrication, inspection, cleaning, and basic preventive maintenance activities. This entry-level position plays a critical role in reducing equipment downtime, improving machine life, and supporting safe and efficient plant operations. The technician will work closely with Maintenance Technicians, Production Operators, and Maintenance Planner to ensure equipment lubrication schedules are completed accurately and equipment defects are identified and reported promptly. Responsibilities: Lubrication & Asset Care Perform scheduled lubrication tasks on production equipment according to established lubrication routes and PM schedules. Apply oils, greases, and other lubricants using proper methods and quantities. Verify lubrication points are accessible, labeled, and in good condition. Maintain lubrication equipment, tools, and storage areas in a clean and organized condition. Monitor lubricant inventory and notify supervision when replenishment is required. Inspection & Preventive Maintenance Conduct routine machine inspections while performing lubrication activities. Identify and report leaks, abnormal noises, excessive vibration, unusual temperatures, and other signs of equipment deterioration. Support preventive maintenance activities including cleaning, inspection, adjustment, and basic component replacement. Assist maintenance personnel with corrective maintenance and planned shutdown activities as assigned. Reliability & Continuous Improvement Participate in Clean, Inspect, and Lubricate (CIL) programs. Document completed maintenance activities accurately in maintenance management systems or checklists. Report equipment defects and create work requests when issues are discovered. Support initiatives focused on improving equipment reliability, safety, and uptime. Maintain housekeeping standards in accordance with 5S and plant cleanliness expectations. Safety & Compliance Follow all plant safety policies and procedures. Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when required. Handle lubricants and maintenance materials safely and in accordance with environmental requirements. Participate in safety meetings and training programs. Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial maintenance practices. Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures and schedules. Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment. Basic computer skills for data entry and work order documentation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods. Preferred Technical school coursework in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or a related field. Previous manufacturing, warehouse, mechanic, or technician experience. Understanding of basic hand tools and mechanical systems. Knowledge of industrial lubrication practices. $18-19 based on experience. Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM Or Sunday–Thursday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.
