Job description

Night Shift/ Hours: 3pm till 1:30 am. Monday - Thursday with Friday optional overtime if needed.
Position Overview: The purpose of this position is to manufacture production and/or prototype devices/articles/customer productions using metal finishing equipment [polishing belts and wheels, vapor blasting, annealing oven, grinding wheels, chemical bathes (electro-polishing and cleaning), surface abrasives] by applying industry standard metal finishing techniques, ensuring Marleโ€™s requirements are met while meeting the requirements of the customer and quality objectives.
Essential Job Functions:
  1. Operate metal finishing equipment: polishing belts and wheels.
  2. Use and maintain chemical bathes to strip and polish parts.
  3. Use and maintain cleaning bathes to clean metal and plastic parts.
  4. Metal finish customer product according to customer and Elite specifications.
  5. Inspect, measure and test manufactured product.
  6. De-burr manufactured parts.
  7. Determine whether product conforms to product specifications.
  8. Prevent damage, through carelessness, to the equipment or process used in the performance of the job.
  9. Follow Marleโ€™s safety and environmental procedures.
  10. Follow written and verbal directions from leadership.
  11. Work with all departments to aid as necessary.
  12. Perform non-routine tasks assigned by supervisor and/or company officers.
Qualifications Requirements: 3+ years of work experience in metal finishing preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Physical Skills: Ability to use standard measuring and testing devices such as, but not limited to, calipers, micrometer, height gage, pin gage, radius gage, optical comparator, depth micrometer, etc. Ability to use hand tools such as, but not limited to wrenches, screwdriver, Allen wrench, etc.
