Position:Production Planner

Position Overview:Ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders utilizing the resources at all Marle Elite locations. Collaborate with departmental leaders to successfully plan and issue production schedules and material requirements. Meet Eliteโ€™s requirements as it relates to our commitment to customer service and our quality objectives.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plan production schedules and material requirements for all Elite facilities.
  • Utilize workflow software scheduling features to plan, issue and schedule shipments.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and 2 nd Ops to achieve optimum facility and resource utilization in meeting production schedules.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts with material availability, capacity availability and order promise date integrity; provide input to management regarding problems such as shortage and/or backlog.
  • Monitor the execution of the plans and schedules and determine appropriate modifications promptly to manage the work in process so that it meets order deadlines.
  • Participate in the customer product on-boarding process to identify achievable timelines to successfully communicate our commitment to the customer for both quoting and awarded project timelines.
  • Follow Marleโ€™s safety and environmental procedures.
  • Follow written and verbal directions from team leader/supervisor.
  • Work with all departments to help if needed.
  • Perform non-routine tasks assigned by supervisor and/or company officers.
Qualification Requirements:
  • College degree and 2+ years of work experience in Scheduling, Customer Service/Order Expediting, Shipping/Receiving preferred;
  • equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Other Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficient knowledge in using a computer and Office applications as well as comfort in learning new software.
  • Ability to demonstrate detailed knowledge and application of manufacturing, scheduling, materials requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, shop floor control, warehousing, transportation and purchasing business functions to effectively plan and schedule production.
  • Ability to incorporate modern methods and techniques involved of job-shop/production environments into the planning and scheduling function.
