About the Role:
J&E Truck Service And Repair Inc is looking for a skilled Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our team in French Camp, CA! This is a hands-on opportunity to work on a wide variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a fast-paced, rewarding shop environment. Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers
  • Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks
  • Inspect and repair trailer components including landing gear, kingpins, and lighting systems
  • Troubleshoot diesel engine, transmission, and drivetrain issues
  • Conduct DOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet federal and state compliance standards
  • Repair and replace suspension, steering, and brake systems
  • Document all service and repair work accurately and efficiently
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a diesel truck and/or trailer mechanic
  • Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems including engines, brakes, and electrical
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and inspection procedures
  • Must supply own basic hand tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
