What You Can Expect Working in the Senior Staff Accountant II Position
The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements and management of the monthly close process. You will work closely with key stakeholders, management, and other members of the Finance team to provide financial information and guidance for decision making.
Responsibilities
• Prepares GAAP financial statements.
• Reviews monthly reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepares assigned monthly financial reports.
• Manages audits and appraisals, including fielding auditor questions and collection of PBC's.
• Provides guidance to other Finance staff regarding treatment of financial transactions.
• Provides additional analysis of financial information, as necessary.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience with financial analysis reporting.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with intermediate to advance skills in Excel.
• Highly proficient with accounting software.
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SAGE products, Fixed Asset CS, Biz Insight.
