Traffic Control Supervisor Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Traffic Control Supervisor to lead and coordinate traffic management operations on active construction sites. This critical leadership role is responsible for overseeing the implementation of traffic control plans, ensuring strict safety compliance, and supervising traffic control personnel.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining safe and efficient traffic flow, protecting workers and the public, and upholding the highest standards of quality and safety across all projects. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects while applying strong leadership and construction site management expertise.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily traffic control operations across multiple job sites
  • Develop, review, and implement traffic control plans in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and safety personnel
  • Lead, train, and evaluate traffic control staff to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations
  • Conduct routine inspections of traffic control setups, including signage, barricades, flagging operations, and safety equipment
  • Enforce compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards and company safety policies
  • Coordinate with construction teams to establish work zones that minimize public disruption while maintaining safety standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, incident reports, inspection logs, and personnel records
  • Assist with project scheduling, resource coordination, and quality control measures as needed

Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience in traffic control supervision or construction site supervision
  • Strong understanding of traffic control plans, MUTCD standards, and work zone safety requirements
  • Experience conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with safety and project specifications
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate field personnel
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and local authorities
  • Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and traffic control equipment operation

Required:
  • Valid Traffic Control Supervisor Certification
  • Valid Wyoming driver's license
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
