What You'll Do:
  • Performs various engineering related calculations and analyses in the application of the basic design criteria necessary to complete assigned projects.
  • Collaborates with Project Managers on projects and client interaction
  • Keeps Project Manager abreast of project and permitting progress.
  • Schedules, participate in, and documents project and team meetings as directed.
  • Support internal and external client/stakeholder communication.
  • Assists in analyzing technical problems, devising new or improved techniques, approaches, and alternative solutions to project processes and standard operating procedures, including project scheduling.
  • Drives client and review agency coordination for small to mid-size transportation projects.
  • Mentors new Associates in all select facets of project work, new client development, and the DRMP standard of high-quality service.
  • Ensures timely and accurate Vision submissions including time and project data.

What You'll Need:
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and E.I. certificate in the state where this person's work is primarily performed or an Associate's Degree or Technical Certification in a related field.

Experience:
  • 0 - 4 years of overall and progressively responsible experience with public and private sector projects, ideally in the A/E/C industry.

Skills:
  • Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic and HCS.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
  • Working knowledge of the procedures to execute a sound and efficient project, with the goal of developing good project management techniques.
  • Effective verbal communication skills with colleagues, vendors, and subcontractors. Must be able to explain scopes of work and obtain quotes from vendors.
  • Effective organizational skills to maintain deliverables, analytical results, and field notes in project files.
  • Effective writing skills to assist with report writing, proposal preparation, and engineering/construction cost estimates.
