Trading Platform Manager information

What does a trading platform manager do?

A Trading Platform Manager oversees the operations and performance of electronic trading platforms used by financial institutions or brokerage firms. Their responsibilities include ensuring platform stability, managing system upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with IT, compliance, and trading teams. They also work to optimize the user experience and ensure that the platform adheres to regulatory requirements. Additionally, they may analyze trading data to enhance platform efficiency and collaborate on new feature development.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a trading platform manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Trading Platform Manager, you need a solid background in finance, trading operations, and platform management, often supported by a degree in finance, economics, or computer science. Familiarity with electronic trading systems, FIX protocol, order management systems (OMS), and relevant certifications like CFA or FRM are typically required. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills help you coordinate teams and resolve issues efficiently. These skills ensure reliable platform performance, regulatory compliance, and a seamless trading experience for clients.

What are some typical challenges faced by trading platform managers, and how can they be addressed?

Trading Platform Managers often encounter challenges such as ensuring platform stability during periods of high market volatility, staying compliant with evolving financial regulations, and coordinating between technical and trading teams. Successfully managing these challenges involves proactive monitoring of system performance, fostering clear communication across departments, and staying updated on industry best practices. Building strong relationships with IT, compliance, and front-office teams is also key to quickly resolving issues and implementing improvements.

Job description

Own the Story Behind the Product.

MyFundedFutures isn't just another prop firm. We're building the trading platforms and funding programs that traders rely on every day, and someone needs to make sure the market actually understands what we've built and why it matters. We move fast, we ship bold, and we don't do boring. If you're someone who can take a complex product and turn it into a launch that traders actually care about, we want to talk to you.

Our product ecosystem spans trading platforms and prop firm evaluation and funding programs, each with its own mechanics, its own audience, and its own reason to exist. This role sits at the center of it: translating what Product and Engineering ship into positioning, messaging, and launches that make sense to traders and move the business forward.

What You'll Do
  • Own product marketing strategy and execution across our full ecosystem: trading platforms and prop firm programs
  • Partner directly with Product leadership to understand the roadmap early enough to build real launch plans, not last-minute announcements
  • Translate technical product decisions (platform integrations, payout structures, drawdown rules, account tiers) into messaging traders actually understand and care about
  • Own go-to-market for new features and product lines: positioning, messaging, launch timing, and cross-functional coordination with Marketing, Content, and Sales/BD
  • Build the narrative around what makes our platform different, from execution and payouts to platform integrations
  • Develop sales and partnership enablement materials so BD and account teams can speak fluently about the product
  • Track and report on launch performance and adoption, and use it to sharpen the next one
  • Stay closely tuned to competitor positioning and product marketing across the prop trading space
What You Bring
  • A track record of product marketing in fintech, trading, or a similarly technical/regulated space
  • Strong ability to translate complex, technical product mechanics into clear, compelling messaging
  • Comfort partnering closely with Product and Engineering, not just Marketing
  • Genuine interest in trading, markets, or prop firm culture. You don't need to be a trader, but you should get why this space is exciting
  • Sharp instincts for what makes a launch land versus fall flat
  • Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities across a small, fast-scaling company
  • A thrive-in-chaos mindset: you're energized by a small, fast-paced team where the best idea wins, not the loudest title
Bonus Points
  • Experience marketing a trading platform or prop firm product specifically
  • Familiarity with futures trading platform integrations
  • Experience building sales/BD enablement materials, not just customer-facing content
  • A track record of launches that measurably moved adoption or revenue
Why Us
  • Ground-floor opportunity to own product marketing across our platform ecosystem at one of the fastest-growing names in funded futures trading
  • A team that moves with startup speed and cares about doing things right
  • Real ownership: your positioning and launches will directly shape how traders understand and adopt the product
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
