Compensation: Up to $150,000 per year based on experience and performance
Job Type: Full-Time
Department: Used Vehicle Operations / Inventory Management

Lead the Used Car Operation. Drive Performance. Maximize Profitability.

Bob Loquercio Auto Group is seeking a high-performing Campus Used Car Director to lead and oversee all used vehicle operations across our Michigan City, Indiana Campus. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced automotive professional who understands every aspect of used car operations and knows how to build a profitable, efficient, and fast-moving inventory strategy.

We are looking for a hands-on leader with deep expertise in used vehicle acquisition, inventory management, appraising, reconditioning, pricing strategy, merchandising, lot management, vehicle turn, and profitability optimization.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment, is highly analytical, aggressive in sourcing inventory opportunities, detail-oriented, technologically savvy, and understands how to combine traditional used car expertise with modern data-driven decision making.

If you know how to acquire the right inventory, control recon timelines, improve inventory turn, maximize gross profit, and lead teams to execute at a high level — we want to speak with you.

Key Responsibilities

As our Campus Used Car Director, you will take ownership of all used vehicle operations across the campus, including:

  • Managing and overseeing all used vehicle inventory across multiple rooftops within the campus

    • Online acquisition platforms
  • Appraising trade-ins and vehicle purchases with strong market awareness and disciplined valuation strategies
  • Managing the entire reconditioning process from acquisition to frontline-ready inventory
  • Improving reconditioning speed, reducing downtime, and controlling recon costs
  • Organizing and maintaining used vehicle lots to ensure operational efficiency and strong presentation standards
  • Developing stocking strategies based on:

  • Managing pricing strategies based on market trends, inventory turn, profitability, and competitive market positioning
  • Partnering closely with sales managers to ensure vehicles are properly stocked, priced, merchandised, and retail-ready
  • Overseeing digital merchandising, including:
    • Online vehicle listings
    • Vehicle photos
    • Descriptions
    • Vehicle history reporting
    • Digital retail presentation
  • Utilizing technology and reporting tools including:
    • Inventory management systems
    • Appraisal platforms
    • CRM systems
    • DMS reporting tools
    • Spreadsheets and analytics platforms
    • Market pricing software
  • Coordinating with service departments, detail teams, transport companies, body vendors, and outside recon providers
  • Tracking vehicle status, location, keys, pricing, readiness, and accountability throughout the inventory lifecycle
  • Identifying underperforming inventory and implementing corrective action plans
  • Reporting directly to executive leadership on:

    • Recon timelines
    • Inventory aging
    • Used vehicle profitability
    • Turn performance and growth opportunities

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have:

  • Strong vehicle appraisal experience with a track record of disciplined buying decisions
  • Experience developing successful used vehicle acquisition strategies

  • Ability to analyze operational data and turn insights into measurable business results
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-performance dealership environment
  • Valid driver’s license required

Join Bob Loquercio Auto Group and take ownership of one of the most important profit centers in our Michigan City Campus operation. If you know used cars and know how to drive results, we want to hear from you.
