Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

Under limited supervision, ETF Operations Associates are responsible for all functions related to the daily monitoring of ETF activities subsequent to the production of the net asset value for multiple ETFs. ETF Operation Associates are responsible for ensuring that the accounting, pricing, review and reconciliation have been performed for the ETFs and that basket process has successfully been submitted to the NSCC each night. ETF Operation Associates also manage the order entry portal for ETFs, monitors activity, and is the primary liaison for market participant inquiries.

Operations and Subject Matter Expert

  • Primary contact for ETF clients and ETF ecosystem
  • Develop/maintain strong working relationship(s) with advisors, authorized participants (APs), portfolio managers, exchanges, distributors, and custodians
  • Monitor AP activity and ensure that ETF creation/redemption orders are in good standing
  • Understand basket creation and mechanics and impact to downstream processes and systems
  • Identifies any product gaps and develop and executes business plans to close them
  • Reconcile key accounts and resolve all exceptions on a daily basis. Report information to APs, custodians, brokers, and accounting systems
  • Provides technical, industry and client specific training

Onboarding

  • Manage client launches, including working with the advisor to establish the appropriate fund set-up, reporting needs, trade delivery methods, etc. to ensure a smooth transition
  • Work with assigned relationship manager for ensure onboarding execution
  • Partner with various internal/external parties to ensure compliance with SEC, IRS, and GAAP reporting regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

MINIMUM:

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Problem solving and initiative-taking
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and advanced Excel skills. Demonstrated aptitude and experience with in-house software
  • Demonstrated managerial and teamwork skills
  • Strong understanding of the industry and the changing environment while anticipating client needs
  • Good relationship development skills and an aptitude for client service
  • Exhibit initiative in a high performing culture and have a track record of meeting or beating deadlines
  • Demonstrates excellent work habits, attendance, and attitude
  • Required to communicate effectively with clients and/or coworkers using common telecommunication and computer equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrate initiative both independently and within a diverse team or with a diverse range of people

Requirements

MINIMUM:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, or proven abilities in previous roles
  • Two (2) years in ETF Operations, Fund Accounting, Fund Administration, Fund Custody or related experience or 18 months of UMB Fund accounting experience
  • PREFERRED
  • Background in fund accounting or ETF custody settlements

Compensation Range:

$49,510.00 - $95,170.00
