Job description

Position Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Manager who is energetic, knowledgeable about sports, and ready to lead from the front. This role is hands-on and customer-facing, with a strong focus on delivering a great in-store experience while helping manage daily operations.
Key Responsibilities

  •  Engage with customers and provide excellent service on the sales floor 
  •  Assist customers in buying, selling, and trading sporting goods 
  •  Maintain a broad knowledge of sports and sporting equipment across multiple categories 
  •  Help manage and support store staff, including training and day-to-day leadership 
  •  Oversee registers, handle transactions, and ensure accuracy in cash handling 
  •  Assist with merchandising, inventory organization, and store presentation 
  •  Support store operations including opening/closing procedures 
Qualifications

  •  Strong interest in sports and sporting equipment (multi-sport knowledge preferred) 
  •  Previous retail or customer service experience (management experience is a plus) 
  •  Comfortable leading a team and working in a fast-paced environment 
  •  Strong communication and problem-solving skills 
  •  Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
