Job description

Job Summary:
RBC is a leading global financial institution, and they are seeking a Trading Systems Specialist to join their Technology team. The role involves providing technical systems management and business analysis for Futures, Clearing, and Electronic trading applications, while also ensuring strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to support trading operations.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Manage the interaction with our external vendors (such as Fidessa, Born Technology, TT, CQG, Bloomberg and various OMS/EMS providers)
โ€ข Internal relationships with IT, Compliance, and Operations as it relates to electronic trading platforms and connectivity.
โ€ข Manage and provide daily front line support to traders and clients.
โ€ข Technical Leadership and Analysis, Planning, Implementation, System Management, and IT escalation.
โ€ข Build a strong relationship with all business partners to help them succeed with our solutions as well as effectively represent their requirements in further evolving our technology ecosystem.
โ€ข Document operational processes for end user training and manage the Production knowledgebase - Manage outages, proactive communication and problem management through to resolution. Tracking of Post Mortems, bug fixes, enhancements etc. for Futures/FX.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Strong preference to candidate experienced with Fidessa, Trading Technologies, CQG, Bloomberg Tradebook, ITRS Geneos and EMSX trading applications and architecture.
โ€ข Minimum 3 years of experience working within fast-paced trading environments (trading pits, off-pit trading floors, or similar).
โ€ข Experience entering electronic orders in Futures markets.
โ€ข Knowledge of the financial industry, particularly in the trading divisions of banks or brokerage houses would be an asset.
โ€ข General familiarity with exchanged traded products, e.g., Fixed Income, FX, Cash Treasuries, Options, Futures, etc. is also desired.
โ€ข Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering Degree (or equivalent), Business & Science.
Preferred:
โ€ข Current Series 3 registration, or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
