They buy, sell, and trade for their clients with a set of goals in mind. This career requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field. Many states require trading analysts to become certified and licensed, usually for the specific security or commodity they will be buying and selling. Additional qualifications include communication skills and the ability to think quickly.

What does a trading analyst do?

A Trading Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial markets, monitoring trading activities, and providing insights to help traders make informed decisions. They use quantitative models and market data to identify trends, assess risks, and optimize trading strategies. Wolverine is looking for individuals motivated to learn the inner workings of a highly automated Market Making operation and eager to solve a broad range of problems within this segment of the financial markets.
Successful candidates can expect to sit on one of our trading desks and learn Wolverine's approach to systematic Market Making, taking active ownership of a portion of our portfolio to build your knowledge base while also working on contained quantitative projects. What You’ll Do
  • Learn how to provide liquidity electronically to the marketplace and manage dynamic options exposures.
  • Maximize market making revenues through the management of settings and processes that affect our risk accumulations.
  • Conduct ad-hoc quantitative analyses within the domains of settings optimization, market microstructure research, key performance metric monitoring, and options pricing theory.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in analytical/quantitative field of study such as statistics, economics, mathematics, or computer science
  • Computer programming experience is highly desirable
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to work in a team environment
  • Self-starter and independent attitude
  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets and technology (finance background is not required and Options Education will be provided)
Why Join Us

Volleyball, soccer, hockey, 5K runs, picnic, parties, and trivia nights provide friendly competition and build better relationships. By getting out of our usual environment and doing out-of-the-ordinary things together, we foster creativity and broaden our imaginations to accomplish new challenges.

  • Highly competitive salary & bonus opportunity
  • Generous paid time off and flexible scheduling
  • 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits for single coverage
  • Retirement Plans: 401K and Roth 401K
