ESTIMATOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
  • Review designs to ensure budgets, show regulation compliance, and client objectives are met
  • Review designs prior to client submission to confirm fabrication feasibility, ballpark pricing, and value engineering
  • Complete accurate and detailed estimates including materials and labor for custom fabrication projects
  • Review vendor pricing to ensure profit margins are being maintained
  • Coordinate with outside specialized fabricators, as needed, to maintain client deadlines
  • Participate in regular production meetings, job launches, and staff meetings to interact and communicate effectively with all departments and staff ensuring optimum results and scheduling
  • Assist in monitoring of rental inventory; communicate and assist operations in determining necessity for additional rental inventory property purchases
  • Assist with Reconciling costs with accounting
  • Promptly and professionally respond to client inquiries in a courteous manner.
  • Continually educate self on new product lines, construction techniques, audio visual, and lighting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • We are looking for a minimum of 2 years related experience or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of industry fabrication techniques and product information
  • Excellent problem resolution and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow and meet deadlines
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
