Summary: The position of Inside Sales / Business Development Representative will involve daily verbal and written communication with prospective and existing customers to identify business opportunities, qualify leads, support Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), and execute territory development initiatives. This position will be responsible for managing inbound lead activity, conducting proactive outreach campaigns, maintaining accurate customer records, and supporting sales growth objectives. This position operates within the Inside Sales Group and supports collaboration between inside sales, field sales, and marketing functions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


• Respond to and qualify inbound leads through phone, email, and other communication channels.

• Conduct proactive outreach to identify new business opportunities.

• Support Regional Sales Managers with lead development, account research, and sales initiatives.

• Maintain accurate CRM records, customer interactions, and pipeline updates.

• Generate reports on lead activity, campaign performance, and sales metrics.

• Build professional relationships with customers and channel partners while providing product and company information.

• Assist with sales presentations, marketing materials, meetings, training, and other sales-related projects.

• Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (or ability to learn).

• Detail-oriented with accurate data entry and recordkeeping skills.

• Valid driver's license.


Education and/or Experience:


• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred but not required.

• 0-2 years of experience in inside sales, business development, customer service, marketing, or related field.

• Experience utilizing CRM systems and executing outreach campaigns is preferred.

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.


Travel:


• Travel to visit distributors and customers at least twice per year.

• Attend at least one industry trade show annually.

• Additional overnight travel by car or air may be required based on business development and sales activities.
