Job description

Porter - Sales Department - Jeff Haas Mazda
A Porter is responsible for the stocking in, appearance, and upkeep of all vehicles in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all vehicles are stocked in correctly in accordance with dealership and factory guidelines.
  • Ensure the car lot is clean and clear of debris.
  • Clean all deliveries in accordance with dealership and factory standards to include the proper documentation of deliveries
  • Make sure all vehicles are parked in the correct area and the new car inventory is clean and presentable to the customers.
  • Make sure all vehicles have plate frames and inserts in both the front and rear of the vehicles.
  • Perform plate changes for all vehicles and remove and destroy plates on trade-ins that that have new plates.
  • Ensure showroom is full of the appropriate number of vehicles and highly cleaned for display.
  • Ensure customers cars are kept clean.
  • Keep work area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all times. Make sure the first shift has enough supplies to start their shift correctly.
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations governing service departments.
  • Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner.

Qualifications:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
