Hadco Metal Trading distributes and supplies metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and engineering grade plastics. Hadco products include plate, sheet, and extensive offerings of long products for general engineering, aerospace, and commercial markets. Our range of precision cutting equipment includes waterjet, band saws, disc plate saws, and shears.
Hadco Metal Trading branches are located strategically in New York, Philadelphia, Connecticut, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Georgia, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and California with transfer stations located throughout the East, Midwest and West allowing a nationwide presence and coverage with next day delivery capability.
Hadco has an Outside Sales opportunity in the Portland, OR area for someone who is competitive, capable of building strong relationships with those of all levels within an organization and thrives on success. Experience in the metals, industrial supply, manufacturing, or distribution industry is essential.
MUST RESIDE IN THE PORTLAND, OR AREA
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships, confidence, and trust with contacts at all levels within customer organizations.
  • Develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales.
  • Work closely with inside sales and purchasing to ensure quotes, material, and deliveries meet customer needs.
  • Keep customers informed about industry and economic trends and Hadco' s ability to assist in all changes.
  • Increases revenue from assigned customers by increasing product lines or items sold.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
  • Outside Sales experience in a metals service center or similar industry preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving/conflict resolution skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of aluminum, stainless steel, or industrial supply distribution.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends to identify opportunities for company growth.
  • Highly developed organizational and communication skills.
  • High level of self-motivation and awareness.
  • Ability to handle objections and provide alternatives in the sales process.
  • Valid and clean driver's license.
