Shop Helper Top Skills Required:

- MECHANICAL KNOWLEDGE AND USE OF HAND TOOLS  - ABILITY TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS

- HIGH WILLINGNESS TO LEARN AND GROW

Shop Helper Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting a variety of manufacturing facility labor tasks. Primary function is helping to maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and material movement. Secondary function is to assist in manufacturing as helper to trades and technicians as required. As candidates experience increases, independent tasks will be assigned.

Shop Helper Responsibilities:

  • Maintain shop cleanliness and organization
  • Utilize forklifts and other shop machinery to assist personnel with material movement / placement
  • Assist tradesmen and technicians in tasks including basic mechanical assembly, fabrication, and testing activities
  • Other shop support duties as assigned

Shop Helper Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Forklift experience
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment / hand tools and maintenance requirements
  • Experience in machinery / welding environments is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Work well in team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Standing, bending, sitting, lifting up to 25 pounds, squatting and walking for 8 to 12 hours per day.
