Position Summary
We're seeking a full-time Trade Compliance Manager for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. The Trade Compliance Manager serves as the key advisor on global trade compliance, helping business teams navigate cross-border requirements, regulatory risks, and compliance strategies. This role monitors changes in trade laws and tariffs, supports audits and investigations, strengthens policies and internal controls, partners with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance into operations, and helps oversee import/export, customs, and licensing activities across the Americas.
Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as Trade Compliance SME, advising business teams on global trade requirements, cross-border transactions, and compliance strategies.
  • Analyze evolving trade laws, tariff changes, and geopolitical developments to assess business impacts and recommend strategic actions.
  • Conduct trade compliance risk assessments, audits, due diligence reviews, and internal investigations to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Build and enhance Trade Compliance policies, procedures, internal controls, and technology solutions to support scalable operations.
  • Develop structured project plans outlining business challenges, solutions, milestones, risks, and execution strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate Trade Compliance into business processes, strategic initiatives, and operational decisions.
  • Support customs valuation, classification, import/export, licensing, and regulatory compliance initiatives across the Americas.
  • Support customs audits, government inquiries, and regulatory requests by coordinating timely and effective responses.
  • Be part of the development and deliver Trade Compliance training programs to strengthen organizational awareness and compliance culture.

Job Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience in Trade Compliance, Global Trade, or a related field.
  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or Customs Compliance Specialist certification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding in ERP, WMS, TMS, and Global Trade Management (GTM) software such as SAP, E2O is A+.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and navigate large datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proactively identifies and solves complex problems, thinking beyond existing solutions and frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
