Protector Plans is seeking anAccount Executiveto join our growing team in Tampa, FL.

The Account Executive will perform sales and technical functions for retention and cross-selling of Podiatrist professional liability, cyber liability and miscellaneous professionals. This includes reviewing account submissions and securing underwriting information, reviewing underwriter quotes, preparing proposals, and requesting binding through underwriter upon receipt of written request from insured.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Maintain a renewal book of professional liability and miscellaneous coverage for Podiatrists and other Physicians. Initiate renewal applications for appropriate carriers for insureds. Review applications submitted for renewals and process to appropriate carriers. Secure required underwriting information and coordinate with carrier for quotes, binding coverage and handling all aspects of customer service on bound business.

  • Present proposal to insured via e-mail or fax and follow up to seek bind order on account.

  • Process through to carrier all correspondence requesting changes, cancellations, requests for binders, and requests for certificates.

  • Create and process Finance Contracts for accounts that require premium financing.

  • Establish and build carrier and customer relationships via phone and/or written correspondence.

  • Responsible for assisting with development and successful acquisition of new business revenue from new and existing clients and providing a high level of client service to assigned accounts.

  • Manage client relationships to help grow the book of existing accounts, providing and recommending the most appropriate insurance solutions.

  • Represent the organization at industry trade shows, conferences, and professional events, including exhibiting at booths, engaging with attendees, and promoting services and programs, as appropriate.

  • Complete necessary research on client inquiries using multiple internal and external vendor systems and resources and prepare responses in real time.

  • Prepare marketing strategy information and market the account to insurance carriers.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • State of Florida License (2-20 P&C) required.

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent is required; Prefer a college degree.

  • Skill and ability to type 40 wpm.

  • Operate office equipment and a PC, use computer software to include, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Applied Epic.

  • Knowledge of good business practices and office procedures.

  • Ability to exercise prudent judgment in adhering to business and personnel guidelines.

  • Ability to be a passenger on a plane, drive a motor vehicle, rent a motor vehicle, and maintain a good driving record.
