Join Our Team as a Kitchen Manager!

Are you a culinary leader with a passion for excellence and teamwork? Trad Room is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee and inspire our kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality, delicious Japanese tapas that keeps our guests coming back. Join our exciting and growing concept, where Japanese flavors meet a modern, inviting dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

โ€ข Lead & Manage: Supervise kitchen staff, schedule shifts, and ensure a smooth, efficient operation.

โ€ข Quality Control: Maintain top-notch food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards in line with our brand.

โ€ข Training & Development: Onboard, train, and coach kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional environment.

โ€ข Cleanliness: Manage out high standard of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and prep areas.
Availability: Ability to work weekends and holidays. 45 - 50 hours a week.
Scheduled to work Friday - Tuesday (off on Wednesday and Thursday)

Qualifications:

โ€ข Experience:

3+ years direct/equivalent experience in a high-volume/fine-dining restaurant

2+ years as a Sous-Chef or higher

5+ years work experience in NYC
NYC Food Handler's License Required

โ€ข Leadership Skills: Strong communicator with the ability to lead and inspire a team.

โ€ข Organizational Abilities: Able to manage time, prioritize, and keep the kitchen running smoothly.

โ€ข Passion for Japanese Cuisine: Knowledge of Japanese ingredients and cooking techniques is a plus!


Fluent in English (read, write, comprehend).

Ability to lift 20 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform various physical tasks.
Must be able to cook on the line, in the kitchen 35 - 40 hours a week.

Ability to work weekends.

Ability to cover any shifts for the kitchen staff in case of any emergency (hot section, cold section, sushi section, and prep)
