About the Role

The Workday Time Tracking Configuratoris responsible fortheconfiguration, maintenance, and continuous improvementof Workday Time Tracking and Absence (as applicable). This role partners with HR/ER,Payroll, and Integrations teamto ensuretimeentry, approvals, calculations, and outputs areaccurateand scalable. A keycomponentof the role is deliveringtime tracking reporting and analytics, including operational dashboards, compliance reporting, and data quality monitoring.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Configure andmaintainTime Trackingcomponents such as:
  • Time entry templates, time calculations, time blocks, time types, and eligibility rules
  • Time approval workflows (Business Processes), validations, and condition rules
  • Work Schedule Calendars
  • Period Schedules as it relates to Time Tracking
  • External Earnings for Time Tracking
  • Time Off / Absence alignment as itimpactstime entry (as applicable)
  • Support testing and deployment ofnew countries, time policies, contractual requirements, or regional time rules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related totimeentry, approvals, calculations, and downstream payroll impacts.
  • Manage configuration changes across environments,maintaindocumentation,and change control.

Reporting & Analytics (Time Tracking Focus)

  • Develop andmaintainWorkday reports for time tracking, including:
  • Time entry compliance (late submissions, exceptions)
  • Overtime, premium time, shift differentials, and exceptions
  • Audit and reconciliation reports supporting payroll
  • Create andmaintain:
  • Advanced Reports, Matrix Reports, Composite Reports(as needed)
  • Calculated Fields(e.g., ESI, LRV, arithmetic/date logic) to support reporting needs
  • Report prompts, security, and distribution schedules (standard and burst)
  • Partner with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and translate them into efficient Workday reporting solutions.

Stakeholder Partnership & Requirements

  • Partner with HR/Payroll togather requirements and recommendbest practiceconfigurations.
  • Partner with HR/ER team on setup, testing, etc.
  • Facilitate working sessions for solution design, including end-to-end time processes and reporting outcomes.

Testing, Release, and Continuous Improvement

  • Create test plans and execute unit/system/regression testing for time configuration changes and reporting.
  • Support Workday releases by assessing impact to Time Tracking andvalidatingcritical reports.
  • Monitor data quality and configuration health; proactively recommend improvements.

Required Experience

  • 3-5+ yearsof Workday configuration experience, with strong emphasis onTime Tracking(and Absence a plus).
  • Workday Pro certification(s) inTime Tracking(or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience buildingWorkday reportingsupporting Time Tracking operations and payroll readiness.
  • Hands-on experience with:Business Process configuration and condition rules
  • Time calculations /eligibility rules
  • Calculated fields and report optimization
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to translate policy into system configuration.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to work with both technical and non-technical partners.
