Job description

Position Description:

Reports to TTNA MAT Asst. Manager. This position supports the design, development, and standardization of “Smart Manufacturing” applications for Toyotetsu North America. This includes but is not limited to SCADA and ERP software programming/configuration as well as process digitization, digitalization, and automation.

Objectives:

  • Support other Toyotetsu department goals as a subject matter expert for ERP/MES (Plex), SCADA (Ignition), and IIOT applications.
  • Complete PLC/HMI program modifications related to SCADA/ERP activities.
  • Develop SCADA projects to provide digitization and digitalization solutions within Toyotetsu.
  • Propose and support the implementation of automation activities in various Toyotetsu departments.
  • Assist with Kaizen activities as a technical resource for the process improvement team.
  • Complete tasks as assigned to support overall departmental needs.

Disclosure:

Toyotetsu will provide a safe working environment predominantly in an office setting with some activities on the manufacturing plant floor. There will be opportunities for travel to other TTNA manufacturing sites within North America expected up to 15%.

  • B.S./A.S. degree in related field with equivalent experience/certifications.
  • Reliable and punctual; willing to learn and display initiative.
  • Competent computer skills. Microsoft Office Excel skills.
  • PLC/HMI programming experience.
  • SCADA or computer programming (Python, Java, HTML, etc.) exposure/experience.
  • ERP/MES background knowledge.
  • Experience working with automated industrial processes is preferred.
