SUMMARY

Oversees strategic planning and execution for existing and new business efforts in the industrial steel pipe sector. General Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand our market presence, acquire new clients, and drive revenue growth. This role requires a deep understanding of the industrial steel piping market, strong sales and negotiation skills, and proven leadership abilities. The General Manager plays a crucial role in setting financial targets, monitoring performance metrics, and making critical decisions about resource allocation and investment strategies within their SBU. They lead and mentor subordinates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company goals.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the special steel tube market.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry partners.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and presentations.

Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve revenue targets.

Manage and mentor a team of sales and business development professionals.

Collaborate with other departments or SBUs to ensure customer satisfaction.

Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.

Prepare and maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports.

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field) or Business Administration.
  • 10 + years of experience in business development or sales, with a focus on industrial steel piping.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsible for training employees, evaluating efficiency and productivity, directing or distributing work, handling employee complaints, and determining and/or planning work.
  • Promotion recommendations for subordinates.
  • Responsible for initiating hiring, disciplining, termination, and appraisal of work of employees.
TRAVEL

Up to 50%-75% travel by car and/or plane to include domestic and possible international travel
