Group 1 Toyota Southwest Houston is growing and looking to add a driven Automotive Sales Consultant to our team!

We’re seeking candidates with a proven track record in direct, customer-facing sales. Success in this role requires consistency, coachability, and a commitment to mastering the sales process over time.

This is not a short-term opportunity; top earners in automotive sales build their success through experience, skill development, and long-term growth within the dealership.


  • Demonstrate vehicles by explaining features, benefits, and warranties; conduct test drives and compare competitive models
  • Prospect daily for new customers and maintain relationships with previous buyers
  • Maintain high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
  • Implement follow-up systems to encourage repeat and referral business
  • Stay informed on product updates, inventory, and accessories to better serve customers
  • Set and achieve personal sales goals aligned with dealership standards

  • Proven customer-facing sales experience required, (automotive experience is nice, but we hire for attitude, drive, and professionalism)
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Experience handling phone leads and Internet inquiries is a strong plus
  • Strong desire to succeed in a commission-driven, performance-based environment
  • Positive attitude with a high-energy personality
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record
