Job description

Stationary Sales Associate

JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Stationary Sales Associate is to identify, engage, and develop new customer accounts within the stationary power sector. This role focuses on expanding the customer base by proactively targeting potential clients in need of stationary power solutions, understanding their unique energy requirements, and offering tailored products and services to meet those needs. The Field Salesperson will be expected to conduct in-depth market research, build long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers, and effectively communicate the value of stationary power products and services. Additionally, this position requires a strong ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless customer acquisition and retention, achieving sales targets and contributing to the overall growth of the company's stationary power business. The role also involves staying updated on industry trends and competitors' offerings to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Represent Viking Power in a professional manner
  • Maintain a positive attitude and act in a moral and ethical manner
  • Sell all facets of Stationary Power to existing motive power customers, customers of Shoppa's Toyota and New customers developed by the individual salesperson.
  • Be clear and concise in communication to other departments.
  • Have a can-do attitude to help the success of the team.
  • Assist the team in learning and leading with new technologies.
  • Assist Management in developing new sales strategies for new markets.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with staff and company managers as well as all customers
  • Actively promote safety and the enforcement of safety rules and policies, including the proper disposal of hazardous waste or scrap parts and materials
  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma: Tech school, military equivalent or other relevant related experience, EE, PQE Preferred
  • 2-10 years in Stationary Power/ Critical Power Sales preferred
  • Demonstrated useful knowledge in Critical/ Stationary Power products and their applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions regarding technical issues found at customers sites.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
The physical demands and working conditions requirement indicated below are examples of the demands that must be performed in carrying out the essential job functions.
Physical Demands:
Sitting, standing, and walking (up to continuously); frequent use of computer and telephone requiring repetitive finger, hand, and arm movement; occasionally carry office supplies and other miscellaneous items up to 50 pounds. Continuous use of seeing, hearing, verbal communication.
Working Conditions: Work indoors and outdoors; exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
