South Dade Toyota is seeking a detail-oriented and personable Service Advisor to join our growing team. The Service Advisor initiates automotive services and repairs by determining performance problems and services requested, verifying warranty and service contract coverage, developing estimates, writing repair orders, and maintaining customer rapport and records.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Obtain customer and vehicle information, clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by customer and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage, and history of vehicle
  • Develop and prepare accurate cost of materials, supplies, and labor and calculate customer’s payment
  • Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required, obtains approval signatures, and enters RO into service database
  • Builds and maintains customer rapport by explaining estimate, answering customer questions and concerns, obtaining and providing contact numbers, providing expected return of vehicle, and arranging towing and temporary transportation as applicable
  • Oversees quality control and technicians working on customers’ vehicles, including their time management/efficiency, parts ordering, and job completion times
  • Participate in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures as applicable

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience as an automotive Service Advisor and a working knowledge of automobiles
  • Professional personal appearance and work ethic
  • Proficient use of computers, business software, and equipment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Friendly and customer service focused
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to customers
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time as well as work outside
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • Complete Pre-employment Background check and Drug Screening
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
