Job description

Join our Toyota Material Handling Team as aLogistics Supervisor

The Role:

We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Logistics Supervisor who brings decisiveness, strong decision-making, and expertise to the table. In this role, you'll be supporting Supply Chain, shipping/receiving parts, and leading while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Position duties may include parts receiving, parts put away, customer order picking and kitting, internal parts delivery and outbound shipment of Toyota forklifts and parts
  • Lead daily manpower planning through the use of the FMDS (Floor Manpower Distribution System) boards
  • Maintain and instruct safe work methods through knowledge of sling, hoist, or crane operations; knowledge of safe loading and handling techniques.
  • Ensure quality through correct inspection of parts/ forklifts or and proper handling of parts materials or forklifts
  • Ensure distribution of materials and parts to TMH manufacturing groups and external customers according to production schedules.
  • Ability to create standardized work flows and train associates accordingly
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced/ high pressure environment
  • Maintain working knowledge of all warehouse and supply chain operational functions with the ability to provide training to warehouse/ operations Associates on the correct methods to complete tasks
  • Responsible for ensuring all daily warehouse and operational tasks are completed accurately, in a timely manner and within the standard work practices of the department.
  • Ability to effectively address and record any safety, quality or productivity issues and concerns
  • Identify and implement Kaizen improvements to the warehouse and supply chain operations; assist in developing effective countermeasures for safety, quality and productivity issues; other job duties as assigned.
  • Support warehouse workload through daily overtime and Saturday work as needed
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • Experienced Computer skills are required (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • 2+ Years of Leadership Experience
  • Previous experience operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) is preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office applications and highly talented in Excel
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Must be able to problem solve and handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to lead commodity strategy development autonomously basely on objective and subjective criteria

  • Results oriented and strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level

  • This is an in-person role located at our Columbus, Indiana office-ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
  • Travel: minimal (domestic and international)

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Salary-$65,000 - $90,000per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
