Job Summary

This position is responsible for growing our parts, service and rental sales volume while expanding the customer base through business execution plans, including targeting prospects and exceeding annual goals. The Aftermarket Sales Consultant will build long-lasting relationships with customers by exploring their needs and expectations, providing specific measurable goals, and achieving results within a customer's expected timeframe.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilization of Microsoft Report Management software (MSCRM) to develop itineraries call reports, manage prospecting and other call activity and maintain the database accuracy
  • Coordinate activity with Equipment Sales Representative to ensure the territory is covered effectively and efficiently
  • Maintain a time/effort ratio of approximately 80% to current customers and 20% to prospective customers
  • Maintain excellent communications through phone, email, face to face, reporting and analysis
  • Operate in a professional and courteous manner to exceed customer expectations both in presentation and communication
  • Promote ProLift Toyota Material Handling's philosophies, vision, strategies and value of "Doing the Right Thing"; Promote the TLM "Toyota Lean Management" philosophy

Educational/Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, one to five years of strong material handling industry experience, knowledge or willingness to learn Microsoft products such as Word, Outlook, and Excel. The Aftermarket Sales Consultant communicates to associates, customers, and managers, which requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will protect the organization's values by maintaining confidential information utilizing their ability to handle sensitive information.
