TOWN CLERK

Town of Calumet, Wisconsin | Part-Time | Reports to the Town Board

The Town of Calumet is hiring a Town Clerk to serve as the official record keeper and operational backbone of local government. This is a role for someone who is organized, discreet with confidential information, and comfortable being the point of contact for residents, the Town Board, and the State of Wisconsin. If you like variety, ownership, and knowing your work keeps a community running, this is your job.

What You'll Own

  • Elections administration manage the full election cycle from absentee ballot processing through County Clerk reporting and delivery of materials
  • Town Board, Plan Commission, and Board of Appeals meetings prepare agendas, attend and record minutes, and post required documentation
  • Accounts payable and payroll processing
  • Budget and tax levy development, and property tax billing and State reporting
  • Mandated State of Wisconsin reporting, including financials, taxes, Open Book and Board of Review, and public safety reporting
  • Liquor licensing and Tourist Rooming House applications, from background checks through State reporting
  • Public records requests and resident correspondence by phone and email
  • Town website maintenance, keeping ordinances, forms, and meeting information current
