Job description
A modern luxury oceanfront resort in Marathon with stunning views from every room, seeks a skilled Banquet Chef to lead execution of banquets, events, weddings, and group functions in a luxury oceanfront setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and execute all banquet menus and plated/c buffet events.
- Coordinate with the sales/catering team on event details and special requests.
- Supervise banquet kitchen staff and ensure timely, high-quality service.
- Manage portion control, presentation, and food safety for large groups.
- Maintain inventory and control costs for banquet operations.
- Collaborate with the main kitchen for seamless integration of operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, Gastronomy or Hospitality, Tourism Management.
- 4+ years of banquet or catering chef experience in a luxury hotel/resort.
- Expertise in high-volume event cooking and menu planning.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with varying event sizes.
- ServSafe and relevant certifications preferred.
- Flexible availability, especially for evenings and weekends.
