Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct diverse ultrasound examinations, covering areas such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety, explaining all steps of each procedure with patience and empathy
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the highest quality of diagnostic images
• Manage and maintain imaging equipment, addressing any malfunctions immediately
• Meticulously document procedures and keep patient records updated in the electronic medical records system
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• A program accredited by CAAHEP in Sonography strongly preferred

Certifications Required

• Valid certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or its equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Skills Needed

• Exceptional technical skills in sonographic imaging techniques and proficiency in patient positioning
