The Impact You Will Make

This is an exciting new positionย as a Procurement Specialist, Capital. This individual will be accountable for the execution of tactical procurement activities, including negotiations, preparation of electronic requests for proposal and electronic auctions, value capture administration and supporting all global Procurement efforts across the Corporation on Capital within theย allocatedย spend responsibility. Ensures effective, professional internal and external communications thatย reflectย alignment with best Procurement practices to efficiently and effectively enable Business Units and functional partners to maximize their value and exceed theirย objectives.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Category Managers to execute activities supporting Capitalย spendย throughout the Corporation.ย ย ย 
  • Works with regionalย Procurement and the business to ensure the effective execution of tactical procurement activities including preparation of electronic Requests for Proposal and electronic auctions, value capture administration, and transactional order processing if necessary.ย 
  • Ensuresย alignment with Finance business partners throughout all aspects of theย capital procurement process.ย 
  • Creates detailed negotiation plans and conducts effective negotiations.ย 
  • Creates an environment of continual value creation with a world class supply base.ย 
  • Identifiesย and drives cost-savings andย cost avoidanceย opportunities.ย 
  • Effectively manages risk through partnership and contracting.ย 
  • Ensures contractual arrangements follow policy, process and governance for negotiations, contract approval and execution and adheres to procurement policies.ย 
  • Makesย recommendations for new sources of goods and services to the Corporation.ย 
  • Minimizesย workingย capital of the Corporationย through the use ofย a variety of strategies such as leasing agreements and extended payment terms.ย 
  • Generates business case reports to record projects which create value for the Corporation.ย 
  • Ensures relevant KPIs and KRIs are met or exceeded.ย Obtain tiered pricing wherever possible for unit volume ranges.ย 
  • Follows a Communication Plan for informationย flowsย to and from all stakeholders.ย 
  • Participatesย in an established cadence of internal and external meetings in line with the Communication Plan.ย 
  • Ensuresย sourcing is conducted on a global scale to create value from suppliers.ย 
  • Minimizesย the total costs of ownership whilst maximizing Value to the Corporation.ย 
  • Provides management reports asย requested.ย 
  • Maintains the highest levels of professionalism both internally and externally.ย

BASIC QUALIFICATIONSย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree.ย Scienceย or Engineering majors.ย 
  • Recognizedย Qualification in Procurement or equivalent preferred.ย 
  • Practical experience inย eSourcingย and runningย eRFP,ย eRFQ,ย eRFI, forward and reverse auctions preferred.ย 
  • Proficientย in Microsoft Excel,ย PowerPointย and Word.ย 
  • 3 Yearsโ€™ experience in Capital Procurement.ย 
  • Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry preferred.ย 
  • Leading experience and knowledge in negotiation preparation and execution.ย 
  • Solid working knowledge of ERP inย Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) preferred,ย Oracleย orย SAPย and MRPย is an advantage.ย 
  • Strong verbal English and written English communication skills.ย
