Job description

About the role: The Tool Room Attendant will be a full-time short-term (end of Aug till mid-Oct) contract role. It will report to our client's supervisor. It will be a non-traditional schedule with working overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the tool crib inventory
  • Labeling of new tools
  • Data entry of new tools into tool tracking program
  • General issuing of tools in both non radiological and radiological controlled areas
  • Stocking and maintenance of weld rod ovens and emptying weld rod trash bins.
  • Stocking of tool cribs with tools from other storage areas
  • Travel between plant and material center to pick up tools that arrive through the purchase process or take broken tools to the Warehouse for pickup.
  • To help coordinate the annual fall protection and rigging inspections
  • General housekeeping

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Educational Equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License, required
  • Customer relationship skills

Must be able to navigate

  • Good knowledge of industrial tools, i.e., hand tools, power tools, lifting & rigging, fall protection harnesses and accessories, all around good mechanical background is desired but not required
  • Be flexible in working either day shift or night shift and can work a non-traditional schedule greater than 40 hours during outages.
  • Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana as well as CBD oil), and employment testing.
  • Local to the client's site.
