Job Summary

The Tooling Manager in the NJ plant is responsible for managing the Tool & Die and Mold Maker team, ensuring schedules are met, the Tool Room is stocked with the necessary equipment and tools, and driving development and accountability on their team. This person will have in-depth knowledge of metalwork and engineering, a good eye for detail, and the ability to visualize structural components. They will also translate ideas into expertly crafted metal forms ready for the manufacturing process. They will collaborate with their team and demonstrate ENNOVIโ€™s values of accountability, teamwork, and integrity.


Main Responsibilities

  • Manages the workflow in the Tool Room Department to ensure schedules are met.
  • Communicates all issues of operations in the Tool Room to the appropriate department so issues can be resolved in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the set up and operation of equipment to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Managing tool room staff, including assigning tasks and providing guidance.
  • Training staff in proper tool handling, safety procedures, and inventory management.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing, design, and tooling.
  • Significant experience in tool room operations or a similar role, typically requiring at least 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members, suppliers, and other departments.
  • Excellent organization skills to manage inventory, maintain records, and maintain organization within the tool room.
  • Strong understanding of tools, equipment, and related manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
