About This Role

Compass Academy is seeking a hands-on, experienced Teacher to pair with the lead toddler teacher


What You'll Do
  • Assist in planning and implementing hands-on, age-appropriate activities
  • Engage children through play-based learning, exploration, and creativity
  • Help manage daily classroom routines, including:
  • Transitions
  • Snack/lunch
  • Nap time
  • Support potty training and diapering routines
  • Guide children with positive discipline and redirection techniques
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
  • Collaborate closely with the Lead Teacher to ensure a consistent and structured classroom
  • Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment

Requirements
  • Experience working with toddlers (18 months – 3 years)
  • Comfortable with diapering, potty training, and hands-on care
  • Ability to manage multiple children in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player who can collaborate and take initiative
  • Warm, patient, and calm under pressure
  • Strong classroom presence—able to guide, instruct, and engage children
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a strong plus
