Springfield, IL: Driver Manager/Dispatcher - 3rd Shift: 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. (Sunday night to Friday morning)

Martin Transportation Systems, is seeking highly qualified Dispatcher for our Springfield, IL terminal. The individual selected will dispatch and manage CDL-A drivers on dedicated, “JIT', round trip loads while safely meeting revenue and mileage goals for drivers and equipment. Candidates must possess excellent communications and computer skills (satellite tracking and TMW dispatch software), be multi-task oriented, and enjoy a fast paced work environment.


Driver Manager/Dispatcher Essential Functions:

  • Overseeing, coordinating, dispatching and managing CDL-A drivers to ensure timely pick up and delivery of all truckload shipments from vendors to auto assembly plants or other locations
  • Assist with and enforce driver electronic log compliance to HOS regulations and company policy
  • Interface with other central dispatch staff, customer service and customers
  • Promote driver safety and safe work place performance
  • Interfacing and updating computer trucking systems
  • Evaluate driver performance and compliance

Driver Manager/Dispatcher Qualifications:

  • 3rd shifts
  • Time: 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. plus some weekends (Sunday night - Friday morning)
  • Candidates must possess excellent skills in communication, computer applications, and be multi-task oriented
  • Previous dispatching experience in the transportation industry a plus
  • Previous experience with TMW and Samsara a plus
