Job description

Facility: McAuley Residence SNF Sub Acute
Shift: Shift 2
Status: Full Time FTE: 1.000000
Bargaining Unit: SEIU Local 1199
Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: No
Work Schedule: Evenings with Weekend and Holiday Rotation
Hours: 4:00pm to 12:00am, with weekend and holiday rotation.
Summary:
Maintains facility, equipment and grounds in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Federal, State standards, guidelines and regulations, facility established policy and procedures.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid NY State driver's license preferred

EXPERIENCE
  • Two (2) years' experience in building and maintenance preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
  • Have working knowledge of heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills, and other general maintenance areas
  • Ability to use various power tools
  • Communication skills which may be inclusive of approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness and non-verbal communication
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
  • Must possess basic math skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, heavy lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Must have sufficient dexterity to handle equipment efficiently and safely
  • May work in cramped areas
  • May be exposed to hazards from electrical, mechanical and power equipment
  • Driving may be required
  • Required to be on call on a rotating schedule

ENVIRONMENT
  • Intermittent exposure to a few unpleasant physical conditions
  • Exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials
  • Subject to environmental temperature extremes
