Title Curative

2+ years title curative experience preferred

REO a plus 

Non-exempt Status: Permanent/Full Time

Job Summary:

 

The Title Curative Staff is responsible for assisting with daily management of the assignments, lien releases, collateral, MERS, etc., associated with the transition of property. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

·        Review completed title commitments and take those actions necessary to remove title exceptions, or requirements,

·        Verify vesting and obtain payoffs as needed

·        Be able to negotiate with creditors to resolve lines on title

·        Work with title insurance underwriting counsel to resolve complex issues regarding vesting and marketable title matters

·        Additional duties, as assigned by Supervisor/Manager 

Experience Required:

 

·      2+ years title industry experience 

·      Attention to detail and the ability to work under time constraints and deadlines 

·      Familiarity with title insurance commitments

·      Ability to work overtime at certain periods of the month 

·      Strong MS Office experience preferred

 

 

Education Required:

·       College – Not required

·       High School – Required, or equivalent

 

Language(s) Preferred:

·       English, required

 

Special Requirements:

·       2+ years title curative experience preferred

·       REO a plus

Physical Demands:

·       Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or quantitative productivity standards.

·       Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards.

·       Regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to grab, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

·       The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to [    ] pounds.
