Hutchinson Public Schools is seeking a Title/ADSIS Education Assistant at Tiger Elementary for the 2026-2027ย school year and beyond.ย ย
The Title/ADSISย Education Assistant will provide support, explanation, re-teaching, and instructional help forย students in math. This position will work 157 days per year, 5.75 hours per day. Theย 5.75 hours per day includes 4.75 hours each dayย as a Title/ADSIS Education Assistant and 1 hour per day as a Student Supervisor. The Student Supervisor monitors students during non-classroom activities (recess), ensuring that school rules are followed to maintain studentย safety. The salary range for this position is $19.34 to $21.84 per hour.ย Salary placement is dependent upon education and experience.ย
Responsibilities:ย
- Maintain confidentiality standards by adhering to the district's data privacy policy
- Help to reinforce the teachings of the classroom teacher by working with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
- Conferring and planning with teachers to recommend ideas, identify problems, and aid in problem-solving
- Help students strengthen their skills to become more independent
- Help the classroom teacher with recordkeeping of the student's progress. Conducts informal assessments to measure students' mastery of learned materials as directed by theย classroom teacher
- Attend meetings and in-service for staff development. Follow suggestions made by classroom teachers, the principal, and others who may provide staff development

- Associates Degree
- 60 semester college credits
- Passing score on one of the state-approved testsย (ParaEducator or ParaPro)
