Job Summary

The responsibilities of an Express Tire & Lube Maintenance Manager include managing vehicle maintenance technicians as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Build customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in our dealership as a caregiver for their vehicle safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage those that perform lubrication, oil changes, maintenance, tire services and inspections

  • Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation

  • Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary

  • Communicate needed repairs to Parts and Service Associates

  • Assist in maintaining store equipment and tools as needed

  • Fill out Electronic Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection forms

  • Rotate tires, torque lug nuts, and replace oil and oil filter

  • Maintain a clean working environment as well professional appearance at all time

  • Provide excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer’s experience comes first

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service with written and verbal communication skills

  • Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities

  • Effective analytical and communication skills with an eagerness to improve

  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

  • One year in a service department preferred but not required

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Physical Requirements

  • The physical requirements of the position are MEDIUM to HEAVY in intensity.

  • Must be able to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.

  • Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable necessary to drive vehicles safely.

  • Constant – Reaching, sitting, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing.

  • Frequent – Repetitive motion.

  • Occasional – Balancing, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to ~100 lbs.

Physical Working Conditions

  • This position is subject to inside and outside environmental working conditions including but not limited to temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards as electrical, mechanical, and cleaning equipment, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with operation an auto dealership.
