STARTING PAY $18.00 to $20.00 depending on experience.

Job Description

This is a hybrid position of Delivery Driver in a box truck and working in the warehouse to put away or pull stock dependent on what is needed that day. This position requires being able to lift up-to 75lbs regularly and safely. Must be able to pass a DOT Physical.

Shifts available:

6:30am-5:00pm

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
  • Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
  • Properly document goods delivered or loaded.
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
  • Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
  • Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
  • Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment- Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, or box trucks.
  • Getting Information- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Handling and Moving Objects- Using hands and arms in handling, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Working Directly with the Public- Greet customers in a friendly manor.
  • Performing General Physical Activities- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates- Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Inspecting Equipment - Inspecting equipment to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  • Static Strength- The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
  • Reaction Time- The ability to quickly respond to a problem when it appears.
  • Critical Thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Time Management- Managing one's own time.
