Position Overview

Tip of The Spear Behavioral Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist to join our esteemed outpatient psychiatric practice on a full-time remote basis. This role offers the unique opportunity to work collaboratively with a diverse and respected clientele, focusing on providing comprehensive mental health services to those grappling with mood disorders.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for greater flexibility in your work-life balance while serving clients in a community health clinic setting. Our therapists utilize telehealth platforms to connect with clients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care regardless of location. Team members enjoy traditional business hours, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., enabling a predictable and manageable schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients presenting with various mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety, to gauge the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms.
  • Collaborate with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, goals, and aspirations.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients achieve their mental health objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive education and resources to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and healthy self-care techniques.
  • Continuously monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary, ensuring clients are supported at every stage of their therapeutic journey.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless approach to client care.
  • Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment and integrate this knowledge into your practice.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including evaluations and treatment plans, in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development to enhance clinical capabilities and knowledge.
  • Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, contributing to destigmatization efforts surrounding mood disorders.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Clinical Mental Health Therapist, your focus will be on supporting individuals battling mood disorders. Our clients often come from varied backgrounds, each with their unique challenges and narratives. You will play a vital role in helping these individuals navigate their mental health struggles, leading them toward healing and recovery in a compassionate and understanding environment.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Current in-state licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or psychologist.
  • Proven knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, specifically tailored for mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.
  • Familiarity with psychopharmacology and the ability to work effectively with medical providers.
  • A solid track record of success in treating mood disorders through effective therapeutic practices.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, facilitating connection and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Experience

Experience working in an outpatient setting or community health clinic is preferred, along with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development in mental health treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
