Job Summary



***Part-time position*** Non-Tip and Non-Commission


The Bartender facilitates a superior experience for Ansley Golf Club members and their guests by assembling, serving, and delivering superior cocktail selections paired with food and beverage items using appropriate safety and sanitation methods while adhering to the highest standards of professional etiquette. Work is performed under general supervision.

  • All bartenders MUST BE WILLING TO SERVE

JOB DUTIES:

Adheres to uniform standards while on property.

Reports for duty as scheduled. Checks in with supervisor upon arrival.

Stocks bars with all supplies and ingredients needed for smooth flow of service.

Inspects garnishes for freshness; prepares additional garnish as needed prior to service start time.

Inspects and rotates all beer, wine and liquor to maintain maximum freshness.

Labels and dates all open bottles of wine throughout shift.

Checks and cleans all bar and lounge dining areas as applicable

Maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and neatness in back bar, front bar, and storage areas.

Memorizes daily food and beverage specials.

Informs members of specials and is knowledgeable about menu and wine list.

Greets members and their guests in a warm and friendly manner within one minute of arrival.

Takes Food and Beverage order and inputs into POS system.

Delivers food and clears any nonessential items from tables, refills beverages, checks on dining members frequently.

Presents checks for signature and maintains accurate member checks. Turns checks and settlement in to Supervisor at the end of each shift.

Resets tables where applicable and cleans work area and front and back of house bars throughout shift.

Assists co-workers with member service. Serving our members is a "section-less" job.

Attends bar/section throughout service period. It is vital that the Bartender remain at his/her post at all times as possible.

Consistently maintains and expands food and beverage knowledge specifically as related to the Club menus and offerings.

Takes ownership of member issues and follows problems through to resolution.

Follows the service mission statement to the fullest.

Will serve as lead trainer for in-coming bar staff (i.e. Bartenders, Servers)

Completes other duties assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma required.

Proven work experience in customer service support.

Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Must have strong member facing and communication skills.

Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to work in a team environment.

Must be able to pay high attention to detail.

Must have strong demonstrated experience with wine, beer and spirits.

Previous mixology experience is a plus.


Physical Requirements

Frequent bending and lifting.

Must be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and drink.

Must be able to pour beverages such as water and wine.

Continuous walking and standing.
