This role is an opportunity to support students preparing for the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) through tailored, high-quality tutoring. You will play an important part in helping students approach the admissions process with stronger academic readiness and greater confidence, while contributing to a personalized learning experience that reflects each student's goals and needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to students preparing for the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE).
- Strengthen students' verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, reading comprehension, mathematics achievement, and essay-writing skills.
- Identify individual areas of need and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Teach effective test-taking strategies for the ISEE.
- Develop a structured preparation plan that builds both skill and confidence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; a degree in education, English, mathematics, or a related field is preferred
- At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience
- Direct experience preparing students for the ISEE or comparable standardized admissions assessments
- Strong proficiency in both verbal and quantitative content
- Knowledge of ISEE question formats, timing, scoring, and test-taking strategies
- Ability to analyze practice-test results and individualize instruction
- Strong communication, organization, and student progress-monitoring skills, including communicating progress updates
- Eligible to work in the United States
