5ironCyber’s Security Operations Center (SOC) is located in Franklin, Tennessee and all security operations are run from this facility. Our goal is more than notification—Our goal is response and resolution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Hands-on experience implementing and managing Palo Alto next-generation firewalls in enterprise environments, including policy management, rule optimization, threat prevention, URL filtering, SSL inspection, and L4–L7 application control.

Experience configuring and maintaining site-to-site VPNs, traffic analysis, and troubleshooting across firewalls, routers, and switches.

Hands-on experience with Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX), including policy design, authentication integration, traffic onboarding (GRE/IPsec), DLP management, and web security controls.

Proven ability to troubleshoot security platforms end-to-end using logs and network diagnostics.

Experience participating in change management processes, including documented implementation, testing, peer review, and rollback planning.

Perform regular health checks, rule reviews, reporting, and ongoing optimization to maintain strong security posture and platform performance.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security (or similar field) with a minimum of two (5) years of cybersecurity experience. In lieu of a degree, 3+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience is acceptable.

Minimum two (5) years of security platform admin/management experience.

Extensive knowledge of data security practices and systems (e.g., NIST, ISO, etc.).

Ability to interact with customers, vendors, and project managers on a regular basis to support implementations, change management and troubleshooting.

Experience working in a leading ticketing system and prioritizing workflow based on criticality and urgency.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Excellent time management skills.

Relevant industry certifications required.
